THE POWER OF SPOKEN WORDS - OUR WORD FORMS OUR WORLD
Welcome to today's life changing article🤗 I'll be sharing my first robbery experience plus how it led me to embrace speaking positive words more often than usual which eventually shaped my world forever.
As a Christian, the power of spoken words whether negative or positive should never ever be taken for granted. These (words) are the basis of our existence (Genesis chapter 1) and It is also what brought us into the family of God (Romans 10:9). I decided to make this the first topic I'll discuss on my blog after several hours of thinking on what to write about first😅 (there's just too many things to discuss but we will take it one step at a time). Over time you'll notice (if you haven't) that it (positive words) plays a vital role in overcoming several challenges that life brings our way.
I know you're eager to read the story😁 so I'll just jump right into it. The event occurred towards the end of the first quarter of 2017, I would have to ask my sister for the specific date😁, she was with me that day, we were still in the university then and living in one of the most insecure part of school.
On that fateful night at about 3am, I received a pressing instruction from the HolySpirit to pray while I was chatting with some friends on whatsApp but instead I only began playing worship songs and carried on with the chat unknown to me that my "beloved" phone would bid me farewell that night😂 (p.s: I have so much to share about following God's instructions but that would be in another post). After about 30minutes of receiving that instruction (which I found out later that my sister received the same instruction too) I decided to sleep. However before i could begin my journey to dreamland, we heard a sudden noise and before we could say Jack, our room was broken into and the perpetrators made away with some of our personal items including my phone.
A lot went down that day which taught me a few lessons but for the purpose of this post I will focus on the aftermath of that event, I went into a phase of fear and sadness. The fear of it happening again (I remember I could barely sleep at nights for a while) and I was so unhappy with my life at that moment especially since more issues sprung up after that event.
I remained in that state of sadness for a few weeks until the Spirit of God ministered to me to constantly speak words of things I would love to see irrespective of what had happened. I mustered up strength in the place of prayer with the help of the HolyGhost, studying God's word as well and began declaring words. If I were alone I would declare those words loudly and when I was out I would say them under my breath just so no one thought I had lost it although at that point I could even care less.
Those mighty words began to cause changes in my life, the fear plus sadness slowly dissappeared and eventually about 2months later I got a new phone but beyond that I had learnt a great lesson that can never depart from me and that is OUR WORDS SHAPES OUR WORLD, It Shapes our character, our present and our future.
The power of positive speaking can never be over emphasized. And that is why there are THREE THINGS I would love for you to take from my story plus you'll come across them alot in subsequent topics we'll be discussing (stay tuned😉). No matter what you may be dealing with right now;
● Never take a break from PRAYERS: All your life you may have heard about the importance of prayers,well I can assure you that it is all true. That is the only place you'll be able to gather up strength and courage to fight (not the physical fight now😁).
Ephesians 6:12 NLT(For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world...)
● Always Study God's word because that is where you'll find the "WORDS" I've been telling you about that transformed my life to speak into your life.
● And lastly DON'T STOP TALKING!!! Now is not the time to claim introvert, you need to speak up and counter those negative thoughts with what God has said about you (for example; I AM THE HEAD AND NOT THE TAIL (Deuteronomy 28:13). Take a cue from our Maker, He created this world with His words from the onset and He is still talking to you and I till date.
Thank you for reading till the very end, I pray whatever you may be dealing with ends in praise/testimonies in Jesus name. Please don't be shy to leave a comment below and share your testimonies as well. Much love❤❤❤
