HOW TO BE BOLD? FOUR EASY STEPS TO BEEN BOLD FROM MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Welcome to today's exciting topic; glad to have you here

I celebrated my birthday on the 8th of November last month and it was amazing (all thanks to God and to all the lovely people I have🤗). As I reflected on the previous year, I realised that I made a couple of bold decisions that I was so scared to make in the past and the reason was because of the "what ifs" that would always pop up in my mind but thank God I overcame those fears/doubts and one of the results of those bold steps is this blog (shout Hallelujah!!😅).

One of the bold steps was to take on the role of a praise leader in the choir (this would come as a surprise to many of my brethren in church and some friends😅). In the six years of being a part of the choir (ps: I am in the seventh year now😁) I had only led praise once and I don't want to recall the events of that day because I could remember the faces in the congregation, they weren't too certain if they should dance or stare but a few of them were a bit encouraging by clapping their hands😂. I was so nervous not because I didn't know what to sing but it was as a result of the fact that I only led worship songs prior to that moment plus almost everyone (including myself) would always tell me that leading worship songs was suitable for me due to my introvertic nature (side note; the only nature I am concerned about now is the Christ nature in me😊) and I had believed that for so long.

After the embarrassment I felt that day, I was a bit sceptical about leading praise but deep down I wanted to give it a second trial especially because I knew I would do better if I made a few adjustments. Truth be told I have a gentle personality plus I used to be extremely shy but from the moment I received the HolySpirit and started fellowshipping with Him, my life changed and shyness reduced drastically (even I couldn't believe the things I started doing😁). 

Anyway back to the main discussion on HOW TO BE BOLD; From my personal experience, I believe some of the reasons you aren't taking those bold steps yet are summarized below;

■ You are yet to be filled with the HolySpirit; In philipians 4:13 amplified bible classic edition (AMPC) explains this point beautifully (I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]). 

■  Secondly, you are scared of "Success"; if you notice I didn't say failure but success because as a christian failure is not an option. You know you can pull off that career, bag that achievement or kick start that business and it will be so successful but maybe on account of your past or background you feel you don't deserve success which is a total lie. In my story above, I knew over twenty praise songs and I had pictured myself leading a powerful praise section but when I tried it, I felt like an imposter and thought this was only meant for certain kind of people (I am glad I was wrong😁).

■ Thirdly, you want to remain in your comfort zone forever; No matter how bad that embarrassment or disappointment was when you made your first attempt, you need to step out again and again until you get it right and trust me you will.

■  Finally, you have no idea how much God is rooting for you and how He has made everything available for you to succeed, if you knew (glad you know now) you'll take that bold step right now.

 Also when you think of the lives you'll bless or inspire that should motivate you too. I can't put in words how I feel each time someone walks up to me after a ministration to tell me how amazing it was, that surprises me all the time😅) and I'll forever remain grateful to God for the opportunity/boldness bestowed on me by Him

You may ask "So how do I become bold?" Especially now that you know what has been stopping you Well the answer has been there all along; stop the excuse & JUST SAY YES! 

~ Say yes to the HolySpirit if you haven't received Him yet and just in case you have, say yes to spending more time with Him. As He shows you His special plan for you, He will energize you with the boldness and strength to carry it out.

~ Say yes to all the beautiful and perfect gift God has in store for because you deserve all of them and more 

~ Say yes to all the lives you'll touch and inspire by just taking that bold step.

 So whether it's taking up a new career path, starting up a new business/company, returning back to school to either complete your education or bag a new degree, learn a new skill or take on a new role by becoming a praise leader like me😁 , just know that you were born to do it and Christ is your Boldness.
